Dr Kenneth Purdie
Dr Kenneth Purdie graduated from University of Queensland in 1984. He then spent several years at Princess Alexandra and Ipswich Hospitals as a resident and medical registrar. He now has over 30 years GP experience in a variety of practice settings.
After deciding to move into General Practice he ran a solo practice in Toowong for many years. On moving back to the Southside he worked for over 12 years at a large practice in Carina before moving to Victoria Point. He has worked at Victoria Point for the last 15 years before deciding to become part of the team at Baywest Medical Centre.
Along the way he has been involved in teaching medical students, mentored a few registrars, served on the Board of a local Division of General Practice and been Medical Director for 3 years of a large group practice.
Ken enjoys many aspects of General Practice but has particular interests in Cardiology, Minor trauma, Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics.
When not working he enjoys golf, fishing, photography, gardening, watching cricket and travelling with his wife. He also enjoys spending time with his 3 adult children and their partners and his new grandson.
